POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the monthly close process, managing inventory accounting transactions, ensuring timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations, and maintaining compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical accounting expertise, and a proactive approach to continuous process improvement.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.
  • Oversee and review inventory accounting, including cost of goods sold (COGS), adjustments, and physical inventory processes.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements, including documentation, testing, and remediation.
  • Work cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, and FP&A to ensure accurate financial reporting related to inventory and cost accounting.
  • Assist with external and internal audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Analyze financial data and present insights to senior leadership to support decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes and enhance the control environment.
  • Supervise and develop accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance.
  • Experience with inventory accounting and manufacturing or product-based environments is a plus.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across departments.
