POSITION SUMMARY

The Regional Clinical Manager is responsible for driving clinical utilization, developing centers of excellence,

and supporting the growth of Focal One® urology programs. This position will have direct interaction with

EDAP senior leadership in capital sales, marketing, and applications. This role is responsible for driving regional

development of focal therapy programs and growing the user base. Additional core competencies of this role

are the ability to create and manage to a territory plan, supporting new user targets through a clinical pathway,

and driving execution of field marketing initiatives.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drives weekly clinical utilization of the Focal One system at each account in the territory
  • Plans and executes efforts to move hospital urology teams to independent usage of the device
  • Identifies and supports new urologists to increase the utilization of the Focal One system
  • Launches new clinical programs in hospitals in the territory that acquire a Focal One system and
  • Drives execution of a clinical development plan
  • Works closely with clinical application specialists and service teams in the start-up phase of new
  • programs
  • Leads field marketing efforts for the company within the territory to support patient activation in
  • partnership with their accounts
  • Develops payor relationships within the territory
  • Supports accounts as a resource on the set-up and operation of the Focal One system during clinical use
  • Successful completion of a rigorous training program on the technology and its use will be required
  • Maintains and reports out sales and adoption metrics for Focal One accounts in the territory
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Position-Specific Skills 

  • Proven track record of achievement in growing utilization of innovative therapeutic devices
  • Insight into sales and marketing of urologic and/or surgical devices greatly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in high level and complex problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Exercises excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to communicate effectively
  • verbally and in writing to individuals at all levels
  • Ability to manage through distractions, perform with changing priorities and aggressive deadlines
  • Ability to interpret, communicate, and present reimbursement and sales/marketing information in a
  • clear and concise manner.

Technical Skills Required

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Ability to extract and position key data elements from clinical studies that support safety and effectiveness in a concise, compelling manner

Education/Training Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, Life Sciences or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant and current work experience in medical technology sales

  • Ability to travel up to 75-80% of the time
  • Long periods of time sitting while working on a computer or while sitting in a car driving to meet with clients

  • Able to lift and/or move up to up to 35 pounds
  • Able to push and pull pieces of equipment on wheels weighing up to 750 lbs.
  • Will frequently be exposed to clinical operating rooms, for which proper personal protection equipment will be assigned and worn
  • May be exposed to hazards including electrical sparking, and chemicals, for which proper protective equipment will be assigned and worn
