Chief Executive Officer Ryan Rhodes
Mr. Rhodes is a passionate executive with over 30 years of leadership experience in market development in the medical device industry, including 20 years dedicated to medical robotics. Prior to joining EDAP, Ryan served as the CEO of Restoration Robotics, the global leader in robotic aesthetic medicine where he led the company to a successful merger with Venus Concept Inc. in 2019. Prior to Restoration Robotics, Ryan spent over 13 years at Intuitive Surgical, the global leader in medical robotics where he was a key architect of the company’s multi-procedure market focus and development efforts, including the successful launch of the global Urology franchise. Prior to Intuitive Surgical, he spent over 11 years in various management positions in sales, marketing, professional education, and market development at Ethicon Inc., a Johnson & Johnson Company. Ryan holds a B.A in Public Administration from San Diego State University.

Chief Financial Officer Ken Mobeck
Mr. Mobeck is a seasoned corporate and operational finance executive with extensive experience in MedTech and technology organizations. Prior to joining EDAP, Ken served as Vice President of Finance and Investor Relations at medical device manufacturer Accuray Inc., a leading global radiation therapy company. During his tenure, he was responsible for driving several key initiatives tied to improving the company’s operating performance and strategic growth objectives.
Prior to joining Accuray, Ken served as Vice President, Finance with optical networking leader Lumentum where he helped raise $900M in debt financing to grow the business from $900M to $1.6B in only three years. Before Lumentum, he spent over two decades in positions with increasing levels of responsibility at some of Silicon Valley’s most innovative companies including Silicon Graphics, Hewlett Packard, KLA and Intel Corporation where he was involved in high scale growth, mergers & acquisitions and business transformation. Notably, while employed at KLA, he helped grow revenue from $1.3B to $2.7B over seven years. Ken holds an MBA and a BSC in Finance from the Leavey School of Business at Santa Clara University.

Sr. Vice President, Marketing & Product Management Steve Annen
Mr. Annen has over 30 years of experience in surgical robotics and instruments, radiation therapy, and imaged guided industrial robotic systems.
Prior to joining EDAP, Steve served as Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and Product Management at ViewRay, a leading provider of MR-guided radiation therapy for 4 years, and Vice President of Product Management and Strategy at Invuity, a provider of surgical instruments for breast cancer surgery, before its acquisition by Stryker in 2018. Prior to these roles, Steve led the product marketing function at Intuitive where his teams spearheaded the launch of the da Vinci Si System, Firefly Fluorescence Imaging, Endowrist Vessel Sealer, and Endowrist Stapler. Earlier, Steve held various positions with increasing levels of responsibility in marketing and strategy at Grabit, an SR International technology spin out, Veeco Instruments, a leading providers of atomic force microscopes and Adept Technology, a pioneer in image-guided industrial robotic automation systems. Steve holds a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University.

Mr. Nathan is a medical device executive with marketing, sales and business development experience with innovative companies in urology, surgery and chronic disease management. Prior to joining EDAP, Mohan spent 10 years in positions of increasing responsibility at TransEnterix, which received FDA clearance and commercialized the first new general abdominal surgical robotic system since 2000 in the United States, Europe and Asia. At TransEnterix, Mo led global marketing and clinical sales, and helped lead business development efforts for the $100 million acquisition of SOFAR S.p.A.’s surgical robotic division. Prior to that he was at Intuitive Surgical, the global pioneer in robotic surgery, where he was the Sr. Marketing Manager for urology, and served in a clinical sales role to directly support hospitals and surgeons adopt the daVinci® Surgical System in urology and other surgical procedures. Mo came to Intuitive Surgical after nearly 5 years with Johnson & Johnson in their LifeScan division focused on medical devices in diabetes with roles in brand management and health care professional marketing. Mo holds a MBA from Duke University with a concentration in health sector management, and a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Vice President, Marketing & Reimbursement Hugo Embert
Mr. Embert joined EDAP in 2008 and has successfully led several key programs in Product Management, Clinical Operations, Marketing and Global Strategy. Through Hugo’s efforts in leading the Regulatory and Market Access strategy, the company achieved FDA clearance in 2018 and Reimbursement for the Focal One Robotic HIFU System in 2019. Prior to joining EDAP, Mr. Embert has managed Research and Development programs and launched different disruptive technology products in the medical and dental industry. Mr. Embert holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering and Image Processing from CPE Engineering School in Lyon, France.

Michelle is an accomplished People and Culture leader with over 30 years of progressive human resources leadership and operations experience within non-profit, retail, tech, and manufacturing. Her niche is building “better for you brands” and developing a robust human capital foundation that supports hyper-growth. She worked for the premium brand retailer Williams-Sonoma, Inc., in organic food manufacturing for Nutiva and Urban Remedy, in tech for LiveBooks, and non-profit for YWCA of Oahu. Michelle champions an inclusive and adaptive leadership approach to unravel complex challenges, disrupts stagnant practices, and inspires high-performing teams by connecting performance outcomes to business results for company stakeholders. Michelle has successfully coached and developed teams, providing leadership and motivation to engage employees to achieve their best, influencing needed change, developing leadership from within, and building organizational bench strength. Michelle holds a BS in Television Production and an AAS in Social Services from Ferris State University.

Anil brings over 20 years of rich IT experience as an IT leader, helping companies scale for growth with investments in best-in-class information technology and enterprise systems. Prior to joining Focal One, Anil served as Senior Director of IT at Personalis, an innovative cancer detection biotech company, where he built Business Technology and Data Analytics platforms ground up to automate operations, enhance productivity, drive insights, and scale for growth. Prior to that, he led the Enterprise Applications team at Lumentum, an optical networking leader where he built a Global Enterprise IT applications footprint for $900M business that grew to $1.7B revenue in span of 5 years. Anil has an MBA in IT Management and is pursuing the Executive Education program at HAAS Business School, UC Berkeley. He hopes to leverage his IT experience in both healthcare and device manufacturing to set up a high-performing IT organization at Focal One.

Vice President, Service and Applications Tim Heyer
With more than 30 years of experience in Sales, Service and Clinical Operations in the Urology space, Mr. Heyer brings his solid expertise in leading the company’s technical support and clinical training and applications. Prior to joining EDAP in 2015, Mr. Heyer held several successful leadership positions in Sales and Service as well as managing mobile service operations for HealthTronics and Boston Scientific.
With more than 30 years of experience in Sales, Service and Clinical Operations in the Urology space, Mr. Heyer brings his solid expertise in leading the company’s technical support and clinical training and applications.
